Sanskrit Name
पद्म
Padma
What is this?
The lotus grows in muddy water yet blooms beautifully. Drawing a lotus teaches children that they too can grow and shine even in difficult times.
🎨 How to make it
- Draw a small oval in the centre of your page — this is the seed.
- Draw 5 large rounded petals around it, overlapping slightly.
- Draw 5 more petals behind the first row, slightly bigger.
- Add curved lines inside each petal to show texture.
- Draw two big leaves on the sides — flat and wide.
- Draw a long curved stem going down.
- Colour the petals pink or white, leaves green, and stem light brown.
