Lotus Drawing
Art & Craft · Age 3–8

Sanskrit Name

पद्म
Padma

What is this?

The lotus grows in muddy water yet blooms beautifully. Drawing a lotus teaches children that they too can grow and shine even in difficult times.

🎨 How to make it

  1. Draw a small oval in the centre of your page — this is the seed.
  2. Draw 5 large rounded petals around it, overlapping slightly.
  3. Draw 5 more petals behind the first row, slightly bigger.
  4. Add curved lines inside each petal to show texture.
  5. Draw two big leaves on the sides — flat and wide.
  6. Draw a long curved stem going down.
  7. Colour the petals pink or white, leaves green, and stem light brown.
