Vruksha Seva (Plant Care)
Seva · Age 3–8

Sanskrit Name

वृक्ष सेवा
Vṛkṣa Sevā

What is this?

Trees give us fruits, flowers, shade and fresh air — all for free. Caring for a plant teaches children that seva means giving without expecting anything back.

🌿 How to do Seva

  1. Choose one plant at home that is yours to care for.
  2. Check the soil — push your finger gently in; if it is dry, it is time to water.
  3. Water the plant slowly and gently — not too much, not too little.
  4. Remove any dry or yellow leaves carefully.
  5. Give the plant some sunlight — place it near a window.
  6. Talk to your plant kindly! Scientists say plants respond to loving words.
  7. Draw your plant once a week and notice how it grows.
