या कुन्देन्दुतुषारहारधवला या शुभ्रवस्त्रावृता
या वीणावरदण्डमण्डितकरा या श्वेतपद्मासना ।
या ब्रह्माच्युतशंकरप्रभृतिभिर्देवैः सदा वन्दिता
सा मां पातु सरस्वती भगवती निःशेषजाड्यापहा ॥
Transliteration
Yaa Kundendu Tushaara Haara Dhavalaa Yaa Shubhra Vastraavrutaa
Yaa Veenaavara Danda Mandita Karaa Yaa Shweta Padmaasnaa |
Yaa Brahmaachyuta Shankara Prabhritibhir Devaih Sadaa Vanditaa
Saa Maam Paatu Saraswati Bhagavatee Nihshesha Jaadyaa Pahaa ||
Meaning
May Goddess Saraswati, who is as fair as a jasmine flower, the moon, and the snow, and who is dressed in pure white garments, protect me. She is adorned with the Veena in her hands, seated on a white lotus, and worshipped by Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, and all the gods. May she completely remove all my ignorance.
